Orphan Walk which started in 2008 is an annual event that brings people of all ages, nationalities, and faiths together around a common goal: supporting orphaned children around the world. Participants embark on a 6km walk, joining together to raise money for orphans in such nations as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Palestine, and Syria. NAMF Orphan Walk is focused on dispelling stereotypes about Muslims and building a positive image of Muslims in Canada and their valuable contributions. Local government officials and the Toronto Police Services also participate in this great cause. As a result of this initiative more than 500 orphans have been provided with food, shelter education and necessities to ensure their happiness and prosperity.
NAMF is determined to help children afflicted by a harsh and challenging environment to become positive members of society by providing them with growth opportunities and care.
